Görlitz ist die östlichste Stadt Deutschlands & größte Stadt der Oberlausitz. Sie liegt an der Neiße, die seit 1945 die Grenze zu Polen bildet. Der östliche Teil der Stadt wurde nach dem 2. Weltkrieg abgetrennt und bildet seitdem die eigenständige polnische Stadt Zgorzelec.
